There are three aggregators, and as far as I know, two of them do something with the image, and both use the <img> tag for rendering. I have no idea how broad support for the OBJECT tag is, and I doubt if the payoff is big enough to support a diversion, and even then Netscape's aggregator would still be generating IMGs.
