The thing that bothers me about Netscape's RSS format, and is maintained in yours, is that an item can only have one link associated with it. Most people don't write that way; frequently, items (as I envision them, admittedly) have multiple links, such as when the first is to the page I would like people to see, and others are to background information, relevant references, and the like.

Is there a way to abolish this requirement?

Is the <scriptingNews> 2.0b1 format, which supports multiple links per item, going to go away?
